About the role:
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in a fast-paced, global supply chain? At Versuni, we’re looking for a dynamic Transport Coordination Specialist to join our global team of logistics experts. In this role, you will have a key impact on the seamless movement of our products—from suppliers to factories, warehouses, and ultimately, to our customers – ensuring every shipment arrives on time and on budget. Your main stakeholders, next to the transport team, are our suppliers as well as procurement team members.
You will be part of Versuni’s global transport team, enabling an efficient transportation business while constantly building new capabilities for our customers. As we value diversity, we have a multi-functional and diverse team, with different points of view and different ways of thinking.
The impact you’ll make:
- Coordinate transport flows from Versuni suppliers and factories across Europe to our global warehouses, production sites (components), and directly to customers. This includes resolving transport, TMS, and documentation issues, managing billing between Versuni entities and suppliers, issuing customs documents, and supporting greenlight procedures
- Support the Team Lead in driving logistics improvement initiatives and optimizing current workflows to deliver end-to-end service at the best possible cost
- Take ownership of guiding OEM suppliers to execute shipping activities in full alignment with Versuni’s logistics standards
- Serve as the go-to contact for key markets and suppliers on shipping compliance, ensuring all operational processes are current and meet logistics requirements
- Act as a key user of our Transportation Management Systems (Infodis / SAP TM / LBN), enhancing end-to-end data visibility and driving continuous system improvements
- Be the first line of escalation for shipment delays, losses, and damages, ensuring swift and effective resolution
- Ensure high-quality data management across systems and monitor proper usage by OEMs
- Contribute to the creation and evaluation of KPIs to track and improve logistics performance
- Manage system-related issues and monitor carrier performance to ensure service excellence
- Oversee and evaluate carrier performance, ensuring reliability and efficiency across all transport operations
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about logistics processes and has a high drive to execute all that needs to be done efficiently while at the same time keeping the overview of open actions and issues. We are looking for someone who is eager to further develop our transport processes globally and connect with people around the world if there are issues to be solved. Key competencies are in depth operational knowledge of global forwarding and cultural sensitivity, i.e., being able to connect with people with various backgrounds and cultures.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics and / or supply chain management
- At least 2 years’ experience in the logistics field in a similar role
- Business and Supply Chain Savy - experience in global transportation, preferably Ocean Freight
- Strong knowledge in IT applications e.g., SAP / ERP / Excel etc. TMS (Infodis/ SAP TMS)
- Excellent excel skills (i.e., functions like VLOOKUP)
- Good stakeholder management skills / good communicator
- Good analytics / presentation skills
- Cultural sensitivity
- Lean skills, especially Daily Management, is a plus
- Fluency in English
