Job Title:  Supplier Quality Manager

Looking to make a direct impact on supplier quality performance and continuous improvement within a dynamic international environment?

 

As Supplier Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing the supplier qualification process, supporting part release activities, monitoring supplier quality performance, and driving continuous supplier quality improvements.

 

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to ensure quality standards are consistently met throughout the product lifecycle. You will also contribute to strengthening supplier capabilities, mitigating quality risks, and enhancing overall operational performance through continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Based in Istanbul, you will become part of a multicultural and globally connected Supplier Quality team, collaborating closely with both local and global business stakeholders.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Oversee and drive Quality Assurance at allocated suppliers’ processes related to supplier manufacturing of key components and/or Finished Goods, N-tier management, use of statistics in the sense continuous Improvement and availability of adequate supplier Organization to drive sustainable improvements towards supplier independency and competence
  • Enable and ensure supplier compliance to Product/Process specification and relevant regulatory requirements
  • Co-work and reach out beyond boundary i.e I&D and Operations personnel to proactively engineering Quality, Reliability and Durability
  • Participate Product Development Process to ensure raw materials / components / products at suppliers are released from suppliers accordingly with the agreed requirements
  • Drive supplier capability improvement via Gap Analysis by identifying gaps between required and available supplier capability and mitigate risk with supplier
  • Provide Quality related inputs to Quality agreements, project books (Q-targets, etc), sourcing grid etc.
  • Manage Supplier Oversight Performance monitoring (SOM) true data collection, analysis and continuous Improvement on FPY, QA, PSI, CTX data
  • Initiate and follow up on effective SCAR closure, SCAR overview on assigned suppliers
  • Support additions/deletions/changes to the status of suppliers on the approved supplier list
  • Drive quality awareness both internally in the organization and externally with OEM/ODM suppliers

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering departments, preferably with Electrical / Mechanical knowledge
  • Experience in Supplier Quality, Product Quality or Process Engineering preferably with a current and/or prior experience in small domestic appliances, consumer electronics, any other industries relevant to electronics including smart appliances, internet-of-things, connectivity, industry 4.0 and/or manufacturing
  • Good understanding of statistical methods, quality tools and methodologies (QFD, CtQ flow down, DfSS, SPC, APQP, FMEA, MSA, Control Plan and Lean)
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification would be an advantage.
  • Auditing skills are preferred; Lead Auditor certification would be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English, in both spoken and written language
  • Possesses expertise in quality systems, methodologies, tool and techniques at practitioner level
  • Strong analytical problem solver with demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment while working independently to resolve supplier quality issues
  • Self-motivated, action oriented, persistent towards accomplishing tasks and drives for success, sense of urgency and owner’s mindset
