Job Title:  Sourcing Manager, Procurement

As a Sourcing Manager in the Home Care Procurement team, you will work closely with Innovation, Business, and suppliers to coordinate and develop the next generation of Philips Floor Care and Climate Care appliances.

You will represent Procurement within R&D teams and be responsible for managing the total cost of ownership through value engineering. In addition, you will drive supplier scouting and selection, provide support and guidance to procurement colleagues, build supply market intelligence to support business and market decisions, and generate and implement ideas to continuously improve product profitability.

Based in Istanbul, you will be at the heart of a dynamic, international network, bridging Global Procurement.

The impact you’ll make:

• Work cross-category ranging from Home Care to Kitchen Appliances
• Optimize the total cost of ownership throughout the product lifecycle by driving DfX value engineering activities and initiating lean programs
• Support bid evaluations and negotiations to ensure the best value for the company
• Ensure procurement related risks are controlled and mitigated throughout the product lifecycle
• Manage supplier performance indicators and enhance them with cross-functional stakeholder feedback
• Perform data mining from various platforms and use analytic tools to translate data into actionable procurement business insights
• Collaborate with Project team members and other stakeholders, representing Procurement in projects

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Technical studies or Supply Chain Management
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Procurement, preferably with a current and/or prior experience in small domestic appliances, consumer electronics, any other industries relevant to electronics including smart appliances, internet-of-things, connectivity, industry 4.0 and/or manufacturing
• Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Global business experience and stakeholder management across locations
• Expertise in Engineering, Design for Excellence (DfX), and other optimization tools
• Proactive, data-driven, and analytical thinking with knowledge of Power BI, SAP, Excel, and proficiency in translating data into business insight
• Fluent in English, in both spoken and written language
• Strong negotiation skills and supplier management skills
• Self-driven, fast learning capability, willing to embrace changes and challenge status quo
