Job Title:  Senior ME Engineer Climate Care

About the role:

•    Work on product development of Versuni Climate Care products including purifier/humidifier/dehumidifier from initial design concepts to mass production in a multidisciplinary team. 
•    Be responsible for the mechanical product design of new product ranges for Versuni products and be the technical counterpart for the Integral Project Lead, Commercial Managers and Designers to realize the most attractive appliances compared to competition.

The impact you’ll make:

•    Leading the development of climate care products in accordance with the Versuni product development process, while also maintaining an OEM/ODM relationship with manufacturing suppliers. 
•    Providing technical support to the architect during the pre-development process and collaborating with various stakeholders such as the engineering team, project team, and internal/external partners. 
•    Leading the development of product design, conducting technical analysis, and defining requirements and specifications during the concept stage.
•    Translating system requirements into product specifications in collaboration with the functional team, and leading the creation of detailed designs for product, service, manufacturing, service operations, and supply chain during the detail design stage. 
•    Verifying and releasing system/element according to the CTQ dashboard and working with the Versuni process engineer and supplier team to verify and release the product manufacturing process in the off-tool stage. Ensuring correct collection of system/part sample measurements and analyzing data for design changes. 
•    Maintaining high-quality engineering documentation, including Product Specifications, dFMEA, and dimension and tolerance control table updates, as well as all SDP Engineering deliverables. 
•    Actively supporting the team idea funnel process, driving design to value innovation, and seeking cost-down opportunities for existing products through competitor product teardown analysis, value engineering, and idea generation activities.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering related discipline, major in mechanical engineering is preferred.
•    Minimum of 8 years proven experience in the field of mechanical (consumer) product development.
•    You have a vast knowledge of the design of mechanical constructions in plastic and metal and the manufacturability aspects (mold/tooling design), analysis (strength, stiffness) and drive mechanisms.
•    Strong mechanical knowledge in climate care products design included purifier and humidifier.
•    Familiar with Design for Six Sigma, Lean development, dFMEA, VoC-to-CTQ flowdown, with certification as a black or green belt being advantageous. 
•    Excellent experience with CAD software (Creo 2.0 or others)
•    Experience in leading (international) multi-disciplinary projects, preferably in Business to Consumer.
•    Excellent communication skills with cultural sensitivity
•    Having the ability to balance innovation and practical realization.
•    Self-confident in fact-based decision making and you can think autonomously.
•    A strong teammate and you have good coordination, communication, and mentorship skills.
