About the role:
As part of the Global Commercial Insights & Analytics team within the Strategy & Transformation organization, the Senior Commercial Insights Manager DACH plays a pivotal role in shaping data-driven commercial decisions across the region.
Based in Hamburg, this role partners closely with the DACH leadership team to embed market, consumer, and performance insights at the core of commercial strategy. You will analyze complex business and market data to assess segment performance, identify growth opportunities, and translate market & consumer insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
Acting as a trusted thought partner, you will drive market & consumer insight adoption across the organization, support key strategic decisions, and help evaluate the impact of commercial and operational initiatives—ensuring strategy is grounded in evidence and delivers measurable results.
The impact you’ll make:
- Analyze commercial performance data (sales, promotions, distribution, etc.) to assess segment performance and identify drivers of growth
- Deliver integrated, consumer-centric insights to inform marketing and commercial strategy, optimization, and future decision-making
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to DACH leadership, partnering closely with the DACH Management Team and senior Marketing & Sales stakeholders
- Identify, quantify, and prioritize future growth opportunities across categories and channel
- Translate insights into clear recommendations and drive their adoption across the organization
- Champion data democratization by enabling leaders through targeted training and insight storytelling
- Synthesize multiple data sources (internal data, ongoing and historical research) into cohesive narratives that deepen category and consumer understanding
- Lead regular insights forums and share-outs to amplify the consumer voice across the business
- Advance analytics capabilities by promoting best practices and emerging tools, techniques, and platforms
- Collaborate closely with the global Commercial Insights & Analytics team to deliver the full scope of regional insight needs
- Report into the Global Insights Director, with a dotted-line relationship to the DACH Marketing Director
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
- 8-10 Years' experience in the Insights & Analytics field
- High degree education in Marketing or Business
- Experience in analyzing commercial performance ( SellIn, SellOut, Stock in trade ) and syndicated market data ( GFK/Nielsen ) ideally gained in FMCG/Consumer goods industry
- Good knowledge of data analysis tools ( Power Bi is a strong advantage )
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analysis, synthesis and presentation skills (both visual and verbal)
- Ability to lead the design, synthesis, and application of repeatable, scalable insights and analytical frameworks
- Proven record of influencing business decisions with fact-based insights through competitive intelligence, retail intelligence and persuasive communication to drive better business outcomes.
- Proficient German & English language skills – must have
