Job Title:  Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and high‑quality financial operations. The impact you’ll make:

• Ensure supplier documentation meets all legal and tax requirements while maintaining accurate accounts payable postings and vendor reconciliations.
• Oversee incoming and outgoing payments, including preparing and processing foreign currency transactions and managing communication with the bank.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies through in‑depth verification, analysis, and investigation.
• Review and process incoming value‑added tax invoices to support accurate tax accounting.
• Maintain complete and compliant accounting records, ensuring proper collection and storage of all source documents.
• Authorize standard and non‑standard contracts to uphold financial accuracy and compliance.
• Manage inventory and fixed assets accounting, including statutory forms and physical asset counts.
• Handle point‑of‑sale, internal materials usage, advertising materials, and write‑off accounting.
• Verify fuel reports and assess advance reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Support quarterly and annual statutory financial reporting to local regulators, including reporting for the National Statistics office.
• Collaborate with the accounting service provider and local teams on fixed assets and other fiscal activities.
• Validate month‑end closing activities to ensure alignment with statutory accounting standards.
• Address ongoing matters with fiscal and tax authorities and support local and global audits.
• Contribute to additional tasks based on business needs and guidance from your Line Manager.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

• Master’s degree in accounting or economics. 
• At least 4–5 years of experience in accounting within a similarly sized consumer goods environment. 
• Strong knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations, including: 
  
  • Tax and statutory legislation
  • Central Bank regulations
  • VAT tax rules and updates
  • Travel reporting legislation
  • Fixed assets, general accounting, and tax rules
• Experience with SAP is highly valued. 
• Proficiency in Medoc, MS Office, and online banking systems is required. 
• Strong English skills and proficient Ukrainian. 
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset. 
• A results driven approach and eagerness to learn. 
• Ability to work from the Kyiv office a few days per week.
