As a Safety and Compliance Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our automatic coffee machines meet the highest standards of safety and performance. You'll be at the heart of our testing processes, making sure every product we create is safe, efficient, and reliable.


 

The impact you’ll make:

  • Ensure Compliance: Conduct electromagnetic compatibility, electrical safety, and energy consumption tests, ensuring our products meet all regulatory standards.
  • Assess Risks: Collaborate with the Safety & Compliance Team to perform product safety risk assessments, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Calibrate Instruments: Manage the calibration of laboratory instruments, both internally and externally, to maintain accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain Standards: Keep laboratory standards, procedures, and records up to date, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Report Findings: Communicate test results across various functions, including quality project leaders, testing and verification group leaders, safety and compliance managers, hardware electronics engineers, and the innovation development core team.
  • Drive Testing Programs: Lead the execution of safety and compliance programs, guiding and supporting daily activities related to electromagnetic compatibility testing. 
  • Develop Test Plans: Design and implement test plans and schedules in collaboration with safety and regulatory group leads and quality and electronics engineering teams.
  • Report Outcomes: Provide daily reports on test outcomes, participating in team decisions and contributing to project success.
  • Review Status: Regularly review and report testing status within the safety and regulatory team.
  • Innovate Procedures: Develop new test procedures in accordance with safety and regulatory group leads, continuously improving our testing processes.

 

Note: The job is located in Casalecchio di Reno (BO) - during 2025, weekly travel to Gaggio Montano (BO) is required to perform EMC tests while awaiting the completion of the new semi-anechoic chamber at the Casalecchio facility, expected by the end of 2025.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • Study Background: Electronics, Telecom, or Electrical Engineering (a university degree is a plus).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of work experience in R&D or Quality, preferably from the Household Appliances, Machinery, or Automotive Industry (nice to have).
  • Adaptable Personality: Analytical attention to detail, confidence with responsibility, and diplomacy (or adaptable to changes, organized, and analytical mindset).
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal oversight (or self-motivated).
  • Language Skills: Ability to speak and write English fluently and Italian as well.
  • Software Skills: Competent with data entry software such as Microsoft Excel and Word (or competent database skills).
  • Problem-Solving: Critical thinker and problem-solving skills (or good problem-solving skills).
  • Team Player: Ability to work well in a team.
  • Proactive Attitude: Ability to troubleshoot and think outside the box (or proactive attitude).
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Ownership: Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
