Job Title:  Product Director

Location:

NL

About the role:

As Product Director, you will be the driving force behind the success of your product category — ensuring outstanding consumer experiences and strong business results, end to end.
You will own the product portfolio and development pipeline, translating strategy into action to meet both innovation and financial goals. While our Marketing team defines “where to play,” you will answer the critical question of “how to win” — turning insights and opportunities into winning product propositions.
This role leads the full product lifecycle — from shaping the value proposition and overseeing development, to launching products that delight consumers with performance, quality, and reliability.
You’ll lead a cross-functional team of Product and Project Managers, and work in close partnership with Innovation & Development, Marketing, and Operations to ensure consumer-centric, on-time, and cost-effective delivery.

The impact you’ll make:

Key Responsibilities
-    Own the product portfolio and innovation pipeline for your sub-category, delivering results in sales, gross margin, and complexity reduction.
-    Manage the product platforms portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and long-term category architecture.
-    Lead the full product lifecycle — from value proposition and concept design to development, launch, and phase-out — with strong cross-functional coordination.
-    Deliver New Product Introductions (NPIs) on time, in full, within cost, and at expected quality levels.
-    Co-develop value propositions with Marketing and lead the creation of robust business cases aligned with category strategy and market opportunities, in collaboration with Markets and Finance.
-    Translate consumer and market insights into compelling product propositions by working closely with Marketing and local market teams.
-    Oversee the collaboration between Product Managers and Project Leads, ensuring technical development aligns with consumer needs, proposition requirements, and I&D capabilities.
-    Partner with Operations and Quality teams to secure sourcing strategies, manufacturing readiness, and consistent product quality within target cost and timelines.

KPI's

-    Sub-Category Performance:
•    Sales growth and improvement in Gross Margin (%)
•    Market share gains and contribution to overall category Sales

-    Product Portfolio Management:
•    Effective portfolio shaping and SKU complexity reduction vs target (%)
•    Improved IGM% through mix, innovation, and lifecycle management

-    Project Portfolio Execution (E2E + 6 months post-launch):
•    Delivery of NPIs/projects on time, within cost, and meeting quality targets
•    Post-launch performance: ramp-up, profitability, and consumer satisfaction

-    Innovation Impact:
•    Number of innovations launched and their incremental value (penetration, share, profit)
•    Consumer satisfaction (e.g., Ratings & Reviews, Recommendation Rate %)

-    Design for Excellence (DfX):
•    Initiatives launched and resulting cost savings (basis points)
•    Efficiency improvements across sourcing, manufacturability, and quality

-    Platform Strategy Execution:
•    Platform roadmap defined and aligned with long-term category vision
•    Impact on scalability, time-to-market, and cost structure

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

-    10+ years of experience in product management or a related field, ideally within consumer goods or a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment
-    Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and successfully delivering projects on time, on budget, and at expected quality levels
-    Strong grasp of market research and consumer insights, with the ability to translate findings into impactful product development decisions
-    Advanced degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
-    Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to build strong business cases and influence stakeholders across functions and geographies
