The Product Director Healthy Cooking owns the category strategy and the financial results (Turnover, Margin%, Marketshare%) of the product category Healthy Cooking. He/she manages the product portfolio and the product project portfolio in his/her scope to achieve financials results in line with category expectations. Responsible for leading the end-to-end product lifecycle from Value Proposition to phase out within a sub-category, ensuring relevant capabilities are brought together along the innovation process and delivery of the project on-time, in-full, within cost. He/she is accountable for the alignment of his/her product platforms portfolio with the subcategory strategy. He/she manages a team of Product Managers and Product Project Managers. She/He will also ensure effective collaboration of multi-disciplinary teams, including I&D experts, Marketing, Design and Operations.
The impact you’ll make:
The Product Director defines the category vision and strategy and translates this into portfolio strategy, including where new NPI’s fit and how the roadmap (NPI, animations, extensions, globalization) is driven. This includes setting innovation strategy, need spaces, and commercial briefs towards R&D, as well as defining global price positioning guidelines.
He/she owns the end-to-end product lifecycle from Value Proposition creation to phase-out, including understanding consumer pain points and translating these into product specifications and value propositions, ensuring product design is strong, and securing IP of the product.
The role is accountable for business cases, product cost, and overall performance, including expected revenues, and ensures delivery on-time, in-full, within cost and quality through strong cross-functional collaboration with I&D, Finance, Operations and Markets.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the sub-category strategy, products portfolio and product projects portfolio results (Portfolio complexity reduction, Turnover, Margin%)
• Owns results for NPI, delivered on-time, in-full, within cost and on quality
• Develop and present business cases, and track / present performance (incl. sales, R&R, quality)
• Drives the performance of the product, and the expected revenues
• Manages cooperation of Product Managers and Product Project Leads to ensure technical development is on track and aligned with proposition and consumer needs
• Partners with Operations to ensure manufacturability within time and cost parameters
• Drives Category performance presentation (share gain/loss, phase-in phase-out impact, category PVMC outcomes, etc.)
• Responsible for Claims incl. substantiation, trademarks, IP’s

• Innovation Success: number of sub-category innovations and NPI post-launch performance (e.g., incremental penetration, market share, profitability), consumer satisfaction (R&R, RR%)
• Complexity reduction (SKUs management) vs target (in %)
• DFX contribution : number of initiatives launched, savings (based points),
• Platforming strategy formulated and aligned with the category vision
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
• 10+ years of experience in product management or related fields, preferably in household durables or consumer goods
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and proven track-record of delivering projects on-time, within budget, and at quality
• Strong understanding of market research and consumer insights with application to product development
• Preferably an advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or Product Development
• Strong analytical and communication skills for evaluating value proposition strength, business cases and managing stakeholders
