About the role:
As a Procurement Process Expert, you will design and implement procurement processes and systems in the area of Sourcing, Contracting and Vendor Management. As a process expert, you will play an important role in the procurement product team, collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams. You'll be in charge of translating complex business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams. Your experience will guide the design of scalable, secure procurement processes that support our strategic objectives. In this role, you will not only define process roadmaps but also act as a liaison between procurement strategy and operational execution.
The impact you’ll make:
• Responsible for upstream procurement processes and systems (Sourcing, Contracting, Vendor Management), including design, implementation, and continuous improvement, as well as driving operational excellence.
• Define and drive the future roadmap for processes, systems, KPIs, operational models and data.
• Closely collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and customers to understand and prioritize business requirements, while adopting best practices, identifying possibilities for improvement, and eliminating unrewarded complexity.
• Lead the cross-functional Agile team to work on continuous improvement and defect management across various tools, including Ariba, SAP MDG, SAP S4 Hana and others, while actively participating in sprint events.
• Define, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs, following Agile methodology.
• Create and implement a master data framework to ensure smooth execution of operations, and good quality reporting.
• Design and provide end user training for processes in scope across different functions.
• Coordinate operational teams to ensure timely and high-quality tasks execution within the end user support area.
• Design and maintain accurate procurement process maps in Signavio, ensuring alignment with the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) methodology.
• Adopt/create new standards and practices for information exchange within the organization, both internally and externally, to improve communication and collaboration.
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
Your expertise in procurement processes and systems is crucial in the position of developing and maintaining process designs. You should be able to transform business requirements into actionable, future-proof processes and solutions. You have firsthand familiarity with business applications (ideally SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle Performance, SAP Ariba Sourcing, SAP Ariba Contracting, SAP MDG). With a strategic approach, you strike a balance between innovation and business objectives, using excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills to increase efficiency. You are passionate about emerging trends and best practices, and you are constantly looking for ways to improve our procurement processes and systems to align with the technological landscape.
• Min. 8 years’ experience in Procurement Processes and Digital Tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in (Business/ Economics/ Supply Chain / or a related field)
• Proven experience with SAP systems specific to Procurement, preferably in the context of SAP Ariba and S4/HANA
• Strong understanding of the Source to Pay process and procurement best practices.
• Proficiency in Agile Methodology and familiarity with tools such as Azure Dev-ops
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office solutions such as SharePoint, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint
• Expertise in creating change and innovation, with a growth mentality and the capacity to think creatively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with stakeholders across business and technical functions to meet project milestones.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities; meticulous; being able to convert business needs into workable data solutions; and providing outcomes in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Excellent proficiency in written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to procurement.
• Result-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Proactive, flexible, and capable of handling several priorities under tight deadlines.
