Job Title:  Owned Data and Content Manager

About the role:

Leads the accuracy and optimization of both data and content across all digital commerce channels to enhance the digital shelf experience. Cross collaboration with Product Information Management (PIM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), Category & other cross-functional teams to drive superior product visibility, user experience, and overall performance in a competitive ecommerce landscape.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Data Accuracy & Optimization: Lead efforts to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of product data across all digital touchpoints, including product listings, images, pricing, & descriptions. Continuously monitor and audit data quality 
  • Governance; Oversee data governance processes to guarantee that product data is reliable, accessible, and actionable for all stakeholders. Collaborate with the PIM team to streamline product data ingestion, categorization, and updates across multiple platforms.
  • Content Strategy & Execution: Drive the creation, implementation, and management of digital content (product descriptions, imagery, videos, and specs) that enhances customer engagement and conversion across D2C channels. Regularly update content based on new product launches, promotions, seasonal changes, and performance feedback.
  • Collaboration with Ecommerce, PIM, and DAM Teams: Ensure seamless integration of content and data across digital commerce platforms, marketplaces, & branded websites. Coordinate with PIM and DAM teams to ensure product data and digital assets are aligned and consistently updated across all channels. Collaborate with IT and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve data issues impacting ecommerce performance. Develop workflows and processes that streamline collaboration between teams to meet content deadlines and launch schedules.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting: Monitor & analyse performance data related to digital shelf content, including click- through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and product ranking on digital platforms. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data-driven findings to improve content strategy and digital shelf performance.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Suggest and implement new tools, systems, or processes to improve the management, delivery, and accuracy of data and content across commerce channels. Develop and maintain regular reporting on content performance, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field.3+ years of experience in ecommerce, data management, or digital content management, preferably in a D2C or retail environment.
  • Experience with PIM, DAM, and ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, etc.) is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of digital shelf optimization, including SEO, content hierarchy, and user experience design
