Job Title:  National Account Manager

About the role:

We are currently seeking a National Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships within our National Accounts Clients, manage the full P&L, launch exciting NPD and maximise promotional activation. You will be commercially savvy and take full ownership of the P&L, ensuring both targets and expectations are met by driving profitable and sustainable growth.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Achieving the sales and profit targets for each category
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver range reviews with support from marketing and category management
  • Actively drive sales out and customer profitability performance by focusing on range & product mix, promotional ROI, sales out and promotional activation
  • Actively seek new business opportunities expanding our retail channels and portfolio expansion
  • Negotiate commercial terms and manage customer joint business plans
  • Manage customer activation and promotional budgets
  • Work with the Customer Demand Planners to ensure forecasts are accurate and meet agreed KPI’s
  • Responsible for ensuring all account admin is completed to ensure cash flow is optimised (New line forms, Money Off, Accruals, debit notes etc.)
  • Effective stakeholder management including Category Management, Supply Chain operations and Marketing

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • Min 3yrs Omni/Retailer Account Management experience
  • Bach. degree level or equivalent qualification with Business/Commercial direction, preferred
  • Ability to manage customer P&L, budgets, and product mix's
  • Strong analytical and ROI evaluation skills
  • Understanding of the relevant processes (supply chain, financials, admin)
  • Compiling and managing Joint Business Plan’s
  • Drive to maintain and grow relationships collaboratively
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Teamwork and eagerness to learn
