About the role:
The role is an FP&A Manager position which will be part of the Versuni Asia & ANZ team. This role will be based in Singapore directly reporting to the Asia & ANZ CFO.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a key member of the Asia & ANZ Finance Team. You will be responsible for supporting the financial planning and analysis function in Asia. You will assist in providing strategic financial insights, analyzing business performance, and contributing to decision-making processes with ownership of driving the budgeting and forecasting process within the region.
The impact you’ll make:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Oversee and coordinate the annual budget setting, monthly forecasting cycle, monthly management results including accountability for consolidation.
- Ensure that accurate and timely financial information is provided to all members of the management team
- Set up relevant reporting reports that is fit for purpose to analyze the performance of Asia KPIs; ensure data accuracy is high.
- Coordinate and track the cost savings initiatives, benchmarking and implementing best practices
- Single point of contact (together with Asia CFO) towards global finance team and translating clear direction / actions down to the district finance team.
- Manage the regional (SG10) monthly financial operations and develop ways to automate processes.
- Support the Asia CFO to enhance, develop and implement improved processes and controls to facilitate sustainable expansion of the business
- Undertaking other duties as required
Commercial Finance
- Take ownership of the monthly district reviews / template/ effectiveness and bring across insights towards Asia regional LT
- Perform Asia level analysis across the P&L linking it to external metrics (market share, sell out, trade stock, category performance) and generate insights towards Asia CFO and Market lead for opportunities to improve the business
- Perform Asia level analysis to find cost efficiency as directed by Asia CFO within the Asia P&L (working with relevant stakeholders).Together with regional functions, review PVM, customer & channel P&L, 1NP revenue mgmt, A&P effectiveness to ensure spends are effectively spent; including clear benchmarking/ tracking and reporting.
- Take on adhoc projects where required.
Finance Business Partnering
- Act as business partner towards head of APAC Marketing.
- Finance lead for Regional MM business cases and initiatives (e.g.NPI profitability, NPI benchmarking and performance tracking)
- Advise on investment decisions for APAC Marketing leadership. Recommend budgets across APAC Marketing.
- Develop innovative ways to understand, track and optimize the impact on marketing investments in APAC.
People Leadership
- Lead one FP&A analyst (based in Malaysia) as manager and coach for analyst to ensure high staff morale, trust, work ethics, clear goals and performance reviews.
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance. Professional certifications such as Intermediate Accountant, CPA, or ACCA are preferred.
- Min 6 years of relevant experience, with a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent advanced finance qualification preferred
- Sound knowledge of financial analysis and planning, especially in budgeting, forecasting, cost allocations, costing, accounting principles and developing financial models
- Detail-oriented, strong execution capabilities, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and ability to work independently as well as being a good team player
- Advanced excel skills. Working knowledge of SAP.
- Working knowledge of Power BI is a plus
- Fluent in English
