As a Supply Chain Intern, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a smooth demand and fulfillment process for our largest e-commerce partner Amazon, as well as key mass merchant customers. From our headquarters in Amsterdam, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across Hamburg, Poland, and beyond to drive customer satisfaction and supply chain excellence.
Location: Amsterdam (hybrid, 2-3 days in the office)
Type: Internship (Non-thesis)
Duration: 6 months
Working Hours: Full-time / 40 hours per week (part-time possible with at least 30h/w)
Expected Start Date: ASAP
The impact you’ll make:
Demand Planning
- Create and maintain an aligned short-term demand forecast, enriched with insights from Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
- Analyze sales trends, promotions, product lifecycle phases, and customer behavior to improve forecast accuracy.
- Support the integration of new products, phase-outs, and promotional volumes into the demand plan.
- Close collaboration with Amazon sales team and maintain strong collaboration with customer planning groups.
Order Fulfillment & Operations
- Oversee the quality and timeliness of order fulfillment for Amazon, ensuring compliance with client-specific logistics requirements.
- Monitor end-to-end order flow daily, resolve issues, and eliminate root causes of delays, defects, or discrepancies.
- Track OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) and other client-specific KPIs, identifying improvement actions to raise delivery accuracy and speed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (planning, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, reverse logistics) to translate operational challenges into improvement initiatives.
- Support cost-saving and efficiency initiatives in partnership with warehousing and distribution teams to reduce the cost-to-serve.
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
- Enrolled to a Bachelor’s or Master’s study and at least 4 semesters of experience, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Previous internships are a plus
- Familiarity with supply chain operations, including planning, warehousing, distribution, and reverse logistics
- Hands-on mentality with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
- Analytical strength, including data interpretation, reporting, and root cause analysis
- Strong Excel skills, initial experience with ERP system absolute plus
- Fluent in English (mandatory); German is a plus
