As an E-Commerce Analytics Intern, you’ll join a data-driven team focused on improving online sales performance. You’ll gain hands-on experience in digital commerce, data engineering, and analytics, automating data pipelines across AWS S3, Databricks, and Power BI. Your work will enable real-time reporting and better data flow, supporting strategic decisions and enhancing the customer experience. This role offers practical exposure to modern data infrastructure and direct impact on Versuni’s digital growth.
The E-Commerce Analytics Intern will receive direct supervision from experienced members of the analytics team. Mentorship opportunities will be provided to facilitate learning and professional development. Frequent feedback and regular check-ins will ensure the intern’s growth and successful integration into the team.
The impact you’ll make:
Data Engineering & Automation Skills
- Automate data ingestion from AWS S3 to Databricks using PySpark and scheduled jobs.
- Use Databricks workflows to automate end-to-end data pipelines feeding Power BI reports.
- Schedule regular data syncs between S3, Databricks, and Power BI for real-time reporting.
- Create and manage ETL scripts in Databricks that pull raw data from S3 and output cleaned datasets.
- Optimize data flows between AWS and Databricks to reduce latency and improve Power BI performance.
- Build reusable automation scripts for uploading processed files from Databricks to S3.
- Troubleshoot and monitor automated pipelines with Databricks job logs.
- Contribute to improving pipeline reliability and data freshness across the S3 → Databricks → Power BI stack.
Collaboration & Version Control Skills
- Use GitHub for version control and collaboration on pipeline scripts and SQL queries.
Data Visualization & Reporting Skills
- Document and maintain Power BI dataset connections to Databricks Delta Tables.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate Databricks queries directly into Power BI via Direct Lake or ODBC.
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on with SQL, Python, Pyspark, and Databricks for data analysis and pipeline development.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and writing clean, efficient code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to data accuracy.
- Able to work independently, manage tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong English communication skills and quick to learn new data tools.
- Bonus: basic understanding of e-commerce and digital product data.
- Bonus: Experience with Power BI and Power Query for dashboarding and reporting.
