Job Title:  Internship: Consumer Foresights

About the role:

As a Consumer Foresights Intern at Versuni, you will support our global foresights team in building the foundation for future‑focused strategy and consumer‑driven innovation. You’ll play a central role in project management, coordinating research activities, organizing learnings, and ensuring our processes run smoothly across teams and agency partners.

 

Through this role, you will gain first‑hand exposure to the consumer research landscape, learning how various methodologies work, how insights are synthesized, and how future‑focused thinking shapes product and business strategy. You’ll work closely with experts in consumer psychology, consumer behaviour, product innovation, marketing, and strategic foresight, making this an ideal learning environment for a curious and motivated student.

 

  • Location: Amsterdam (hybrid, 2-3 days per week in the office)
  • Type: Internship (not suitable for thesis)
  • Duration: 6 -12 months
  • Working Hours: 32-40 hours per week
  • Expected Start Date: ASAP 

The impact you’ll make:

You will play a key enabling role in strengthening Versuni’s foresight and research capability. Your work will include:

 

Project & Process Management

  • Maintain and update the research tracker, ensuring ongoing projects, timelines, and deliverables are visible and well‑organized.
  • Support budget management, including PO (Purchase Order) creation follow‑up and documentation.
  • Coordinate agency relationships, including briefing processes, feedback management, and logistics.
  • Organize insight libraries, ensuring research learnings are structured, easy to navigate, and ready for cross‑team use.

 

Research & Insight Support

  • Help compile research learnings from qualitative, quantitative, social listening, and foresight studies.
  • Assist in preparing internal presentations, workshop inputs, and synthesis materials.
  • Support evaluation of ongoing foresight themes and emerging consumer signals.

 

Learning & Exploration

During your internship, you will be exposed to:

 

  • A variety of consumer research methodologies (qual, quant, cultural insights, foresights, trend analysis).
  • The basics of consumer psychology, behaviour, and decision‑making.
  • How consumer insights inform product marketing, brand strategy, and business innovation.
  • Best‑in‑class agency processes and global team collaboration.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in: Marketing, Psychology, Business, Sociology, Anthropology, Innovation, Strategic Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project‑management ability.
  • A structured, detail‑oriented mindset with a love for clarity and order.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluent in English.
  • A team player with a proactive “can‑do” mentality — someone who enjoys learning and contributes with positive energy.
  • Interest in understanding people, culture, and behavioural shifts.
  • Confidence working with tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Miro, or similar.

Students from outside the EU need to fill in an NUFFIC agreement, which needs to be signed by the student and the university. Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience.
