About the role:
The HR Manager plays a key role in supporting the Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna) site, a strategic hub for innovation and development, laboratory testing, and engineering activities. This is an opportunity to partner closely with managers and employees across Espresso R&D, the Digital Hub, Quality, and Operations, helping create a high-performing and people-focused environment.
This position plays a vital role in advancing key HR priorities by offering expert guidance on employee relations, labor law, and organizational matters. As an essential member of the Site Council, this role will be involved in site management decisions and take charge of a range of initiatives and tasks, such as promoting employee engagement and improving workplace organization. The scope is comprehensive and practical, demanding a strong balance of operational accountability, close business alignment, and sound HR judgment to support the organization with both pragmatism and credibility.
The impact you’ll make:
HR Business Partnering
Partner with managers to address day-to-day people matters
Provide guidance on performance management, engagement, and development within a technical and innovation-driven environment
Support the deployment of people plans, organisational changes and team effectiveness initiatives
Contribute to workforce planning and organisational decisions aligned with business priorities
People’s Engagement and Culture
Develop and oversee initiatives to strengthen company culture
Organize site events with leaders, such as Town Halls, open days, and key market visits, in cooperation with other Site Council members
Employee Relations & Labour Law
Manage employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with Italian labour law and company policies
Support managers in handling performance issues, disciplinary processes and workplace matters
Apply and interpret the CCNL Metalmeccanico framework and relevant local regulations
Ensure consistent documentation and risk-aware approach to HR case management
Industrial & Social Relations
Manage interactions with employee representatives and trade unions, in line with company guidelines
Contribute to the preparation of meetings and related documentation
Ensure proper handling of information and consultation processes where applicable
HR Operations & Process Execution
Ensure accurate and timely execution of core HR processes, including performance cycles, compensation reviews, and talent activities
Collaborate with Centres of Expertise to implement HR initiatives at local level
Maintain data accuracy and contribute to HR reporting and people insights
Work in close coordination with the Payroll and HR Administration Specialist, providing temporary operational support when needed to ensure business continuity
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
5+ years of experience in an HR generalist or HR Business Partner role, preferably in industrial or R&D environments
Good knowledge of employee relations and Italian labour law, including familiarity with CCNL frameworks
Ability to work autonomously, while collaborating effectively within an HR team
Solid understanding of HR processes such as performance management, compensation, and talent reviews
Basic understanding of HR administration and payroll workflows
Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Italian and English, with the ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels
Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment
Proven track record of success in an international, fast-paced, consumer-oriented environment

Compensation package
The salary range for this position is EUR 48,000 – EUR 58,000 gross annual fixed compensation (RAL), corresponding to Level B3 of the CCNL Metalmeccanico (Code: C011), and determined by Versuni’s objective, gender-neutral career framework. The role also includes a variable compensation component linked to company performance and/or structured incentive schemes, as well as work-from-home and phone allowances to support home office setup and business connectivity.
