Job Title:  Financial Controller/ Statutory and fiscal

About the role:

This role is critical in ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations, managing statutory reporting, and optimizing tax strategies for Versuni in Italy.

The impact you’ll make:

• Quarterly and annual statutory financial reporting according to ITA GAAP and other fiscal mandatory reports to the local regulators (including National Statistics)
• Check on each statutory account (including payroll postings) and prepare related adjustments IFRS vs Italian GAAP
• File the required monthly/quarterly/annual fiscal reports: VAT declarations, LIPE, Esterometro etc.
• Manage payments and oversee cash-collection activities. Bank management
• Support external statutory audits 
• Archiving (also electronic) of documents required by the Italian law.
• Cooperate closely with accounting service providers, Versuni global functions and Italian commercial organization on accounting procedures and recordings, Fixed Assets, payments, fiscal activities and other finance areas
• Manage the accounting of agents: oversee the recording of invoices, WHT monthly payment, annual 770 filing.
• Check customs billing.
• Handle issues with fiscal and tax authorities, local and global audit.
• Oversee tax activities in Italy in collaboration with external tax consultants.
• Support in ad-hoc finance and accounting request or project 
   

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

• Good knowledge and use of SAP and office Suite (Excel, Outlook etc).
• Good knowledge of written and spoken Italian and English Languages.
• Relevant work experience in Finance and Accounting domains
• Good knowledge in Italy accounting and fiscal rules
• Financial education (Finance Bachelor, CMA, CFA or equivalent)
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills 
• Strong analytical skills 
• Able to work with great autonomy and part of a remote European team.

Location: the role can be based in Casalecchio di Reno (BO) or in Milan. Hybrid working model applicable
