Job Title:  DfX Project Leader Garment Care

About the role:

The DFX Project Leader is a pivotal role in bridging product ambitions with operational excellence. This role ensures that Design for X (e.g., cost, sustainability, quality, etc.) principles are translated into actionable product initiatives and strategies, aligning with organizational goals. The incumbent will work closely with Heads of Product Category teams, Operations Teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive initiatives that optimize purchasing strategies, manufacturing decisions, (make/buy) and overall product lifecycle governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with Head of Product Category/ Product Manager and Operations Teams to translate overall DFX ambitions into DFX Product initiatives and DFX Projects under the responsibility of the DFX Project manager in each product sub-category
  • Is accountable for the DFX Product Initiatives management and owns business impacts 
  • Tracks and reports overall progresses KPIs, identify gaps with Product Manager and corrective action plans
  • Is accountable for the properly documented Purchasing Finished Goods strategy at the Sub-Category level, in full cooperation with operations Team and Head of Product category/Product Director/Product Manager
  • Ensures Finished Goods strategy is an essential element of the Product Technical Platforms Portfolio strategy 
  • Aligns strategy with Product project level, ensuring that strategy guidelines for the Make/Buy decision are applied PPC

Business KPIs role scope 

  • DFX Initiatives contribution in € 
  • DFX portfolio : Number of DFX initiatives lunched on Products and Product Platforms
  • Number of Sub Category sourcing intelligence analysis to support the sub category marketing and developement strategies (VCP priorities first)

KPIs Specific to product scope:

  • ODM opportunities for Finished Goods Commodities strategy assuring marketing category needs
  • Number of  partnerships signed to acquire technologies and execute VCP sub cateogry strategy 

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

 

  • 3-5 years in program management, product operations, or DFX-related roles.
  • Proven experience in working within cross-functional teams and implementing strategic initiatives. Expertise in purchasing strategies, make/buy decision-making, and manufacturing lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in KPI tracking and performance management.
  • Competence in data analysis, strategy documentation, and portfolio management
