About the role:
Looking to shape and elevate product quality across the entire development lifecycle within a dynamic and innovation-driven environment?
As Development Quality Manager, you will be responsible for PDM (Product Development, Launch and Maintenance) deliverables, as well as the end-to-end Product Quality process defined within the AD phase (Advanced Development for new Technology & Function Creation) and broader Life Cycle Management processes.
In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring quality excellence throughout product development, launch, and maintenance phases, while leading continuous quality improvement initiatives such as FCR and CoNQ. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive operational excellence, support innovation readiness, and continuously enhance overall product quality performance across the organization.
Based in Istanbul, you will be part of a highly diverse and multinational Quality team with direct exposure to the business and cross-functional stakeholders.
The impact you’ll make:
- Provide leadership and steer all Development Quality-related activities within AD and PDLM, with a strong focus on driving requirement development from user requirements and marketing briefs through to IPM and CTQ definitions/dashboard management
- Ensure robust and reliable product development by driving capability and reliability requirements, while proactively managing risks, issues, and margins throughout the development lifecycle
- Facilitate and review FMEAs, PMIs, and problem logs to strengthen Development Quality standards and continuous improvement initiative
- Communicate regularly on the quality status, monitor predicted call rate (CREX) throughout the project execution, capture learning’s from earlier projects (both on the development process and on technical issues, FCR, PFQ improvements) and initiate improvements in the new / current project
- Develop and execute the design release verification and validation plan
- Support LCM (Life Cycle Management) activities to ensure smooth launching of new type number of existing product to new country and finding root causes / resolution of sustaining product issues
- Support AD activities in the tasks, especially lead HBSRA (safety risk assessment
- Lead and drive cross function and supplier for quality continuous improvement, form the workshop by end-to-end way by collecting filed defects, analysing and identifying improvement actions
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electronic & Electric or any other relevant Engineering departments
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Quality, preferably with a current and/or prior experience in small domestic appliances, consumer electronics, any other industries relevant to electronics including smart appliances, internet-of-things, connectivity, industry 4.0 and/or manufacturing
- Prior or current experience in any Development Quality role would also be highly valued.
- Experience in understanding and translating regulatory standards, especially ISO9001
- Experience in balancing risks and opportunities of innovative solutions and applying Design for Six Sigma
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification would be an advantage.
- Proven track record in product development and quality in international, multi-disciplinary, consumer product development projects
- Fluent in English, in both spoken and written language
- Courageous and able to continuously challenge the status quo, with a strong desire to improve organizational effectiveness structurally
- Conceptual, analytically strong, data driven, and hands-on
