Job Title: Commercial Director Iberia (Spain-Portugal)

About the role:
Lead the end-to-end commercial agenda for Versuni for the Iberia cluster, driving profitable growth, brand penetration, and market share across all channels (retail, e-commerce, distributors, and direct-to-consumer). This role is accountable for developing and executing the commercial strategy in alignment with the South-Europe Fighting Unit* Plan, while building strong external partnerships and fostering a high-performance, customer-obsessed team culture.
The impact you’ll make:
Strategic leadership:
- Develop and execute the commercial country-level strategy (for both Spain and Portugal) in alignment with the Fighting Unit agenda
- Oversee and coordinate all country operations, ensuring alignment with global and regional strategies while acting as the voice of Iberia within the South Europe Management Team.
- Drive sustainable business growth through effective leadership of cross-functional teams, ensuring all key functions (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain) contribute to overall success
- Identify market opportunities, risks, and trends and adjust strategies to ensure company remains competitive and profitable
Finance management:
- Drive financial performance across the cluster
- Define and recommend the annual budget for the cluster with Marketing, Commercial Excellence and Finance leads to the Managing Director of the Fighting Unit
- Reports on (monthly) markets including financial performance
Sales (offline and online), and Commercial Excellence:
- Oversee all sales and commercial activities, ensuring that sales targets, and market share growth ambitions are achieved
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies that align with local customer priorities
- Foster relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to drive strong business growth and brand visibility
- Lead sales operations across key channels: modern trade, traditional trade, distributors, and e-commerce
Team culture:
- Build a cohesive, high-performing cross-functional country team
- Encourage open communication and transparency, fostering strong relationships between functions at the Fighting Unit level
- Lead by example, setting a tone of ethical leadership, and prioritizing employee development and well-being
- Drive employee engagement initiatives that strengthen commitment, collaboration, and alignment with business and cultural priorities.
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
- 10+ years of experience in sales and commercial leadership roles, ideally within consumer goods or durables
- Deep knowledge of the Local market retail landscape and key accounts
- Proven experience in P&L management, strategy development, and execution across sales, marketing, and e-commerce.
- Strong ability to lead cross-functional and cross-market teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Commercial field (preferred).
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Portuguese language is a plus.
