Job Title:  Brand Marketing Manager - maternity cover - fixed term contract

About the role:

As a Brand Marketing Manager at Versuni in Hungary, you will lead the local marketing strategy and execution for the assigned categories, aligning closely with regional direction. You’ll translate global strategies into impactful local campaigns, manage the full product lifecycle, and ensure the right products reach the right consumers at the right time. You will manage the assigned category P&L and through your collaboration with cross-functional teams and commercial partners, you’ll champion category growth, optimize performance, and fuel profitable results in Hungary.


Note: it is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.  

The impact you’ll make:

•    Define and execute category marketing strategies and annual activity plans, including strategic planning, P&L management, new product introductions (NPIs), and category roadmaps
•    Develop and implement integrated 360° marketing plans in close collaboration with Sales and Trade Marketing teams
•    Lead the execution of marketing campaigns in partnership with external agencies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand standards
•    Manage and continuously enhance category fundamentals across the product portfolio, balancing both strategic direction and day-to-day operational excellence.
•    Monitor category performance through sales analysis, market insights, and portfolio management, including product database maintenance and planning activities.
•    Own and oversee the A&P (Advertising & Promotion) budget, ensuring effective allocation and return on investment
•    Drive demand generation initiatives and ensure delivery of business performance against defined KPIs and growth targets
•    Collaborate with Sales Leadership to identify and develop new business models, routes-to-market, and growth opportunities across emerging channels
•    Champion a LEAN mindset and continuous improvement culture to enhance processes, efficiency, and business outcomes

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

•    Minimum 5 years of proven experience in 360° marketing roles within the consumer goods industry, such as Brand Manager, Category Manager, or Product Marketing Manager.
•    Strong expertise in digital marketing, including consumer trends, marketing funnel management, customer touchpoints, and influencer marketing.
•    Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, including effective agency management.
•    Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and drive to achieve category objectives and business targets.
•    Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and external partners.
•    Highly analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and market insights into actionable business recommendations.
•    Strong problem-solving, influencing, and decision-making skills.
•    Fluent in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken
•    Based locally and Happy to come to the office 2-3 days a week
