About the role:
We are looking for a talented Account Manager who has a versatile profile, ideally someone who could work different types of customers/channels and drive our sales team’s success.
Your role sits within the Benelux team and will report to the Benelux Sales Lead responsible for the traditional channel in BE and NL as well as the Belgium Chains. The team consists of 5 (key) account managers and is part of the BNL sales team of Versuni (12 people).
The impact you’ll make:
- In a tandem with the Key Account Manager Buying Groups shape the future success of the traditional channel. The Key Account Manager focuses on the key customers and head offices, while the Account Manager is responsible for all other individual stores and execution of plans.
- Co Create an annual strategic account plan and drive the execution and optimization during the year.
- You have the full responsibility for the sales performance of your customer(s)
- Keep track of performance, identifying on top off opportunities and mitigating potential sales gaps.
- Systematically analyses and reports of sales results, expectations, market, competition, and trends to make proposals for improvement.
- Rally internal stakeholders behind your plans to ensure you achieve your results.
- Commercial Orientation | Identify market trends and opportunities to stay ahead of the competition. Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
- Problem Solving | Tackle challenges head-on, finding innovative solutions that enhance our products, services, and customer experience.
- Commercial Negotiation & Influencing | Build and maintain strong relationships with your retailers as well as internal stakeholders. Negotiate assortments and deals to create and influence key decisions to benefit the Versuni.
- Taking Ownership | Assume responsibility for the overall commercial performance of your key customer(s), taking the initiative to develop plans and deliver results.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit | positive and open mindset to deliver growth for both the retailer as well as Versuni.
- Consumer Journey Optimization | Putting the consumer first, matching the consumer needs to the DNA of the customer and assortment of Versuni.
The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a business/commercial related field, e.g. (international) Business studies, commercial economy, etc.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of proven track record in sales, ideally in consumer electronics or FMCG. Head office experience is a plus.
- It’s a plus if you already have experience with the traditional channel, buying groups and distributors in Belgium.
- Data driven mindset to underpin your decision making and storytelling.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite; Excel is a requirement.
- Superior written & verbal communication skills in Dutch, French and English. French is preferred due to the customers in scope being in both Wallonia and Flanders.
